Girls of Many Lands | American Girl From the Past +Where To Get Them

Starting in 2002, American released a new line of eight 9" display-only dolls, each with an accompanying book, to a targeted older audience of 12-14. These dolls each came with a non-removable elaborate outfit and a book; but that was it: unlike modern 18 inch American Girl dolls, this line of "Girls of Many Lands" came with no accessories, were slightly older, and came from different countries then America (With the exception of one). Unfortunately, American Girl withdrew the collection in 2005. The good news is this: on online stores such as e-Bay or Amazon you can get most of them--albeit for a much higher price.

The dolls are designed by world-famous Helen Kish.

Where To Get Them:
All the dolls, with the notable exception of Kathleen, are available on both Amazon and e-Bay simply go to either one, and type in the name of the doll that you want along with girls of many lands. For example:

"leyla girls of many lands"

e-Bay prices tend to be notably cheaper than Amazon prices. Amazon prices vary from $30.00 to more than $100.00. e-Bay prices can send new dolls in unopened boxes from as little as $25.00.
Kathleen Murphy, the Girls of Many Lands Doll from Ireland, is not available on either. I have searched for a long time but have not found a seller that sells Kathleen, used or new. Please let me know if you have found a reliable seller.
